Consumer Demand for Fish at the Qasr Ahmed Market in Misrata and the Variation in Fish Prices

The study was carried out during the year 2023 on the site of selling fish in Qasr Ahmed, Misurata about consumer demand I the Qasr Ahmed area for fish types in the city. Through the study, it became clear that the following questionnaire was conducte on so people, including males and females, on the following types of fish: Sardinella aurite, Pagellus erythrinus, Epinepbelus maryinatus, Trachurus mediteraheus, Scomber scombrus, Mullus surmuletus, Sparus aurate, Mustelus surmuletus and Eutbynnus
aletteratus. The results from the turnout as follows: 66.0,30.0,32.0,28.0,50.0,48.0,36.0,28.0, and 48.0% respectively.
According to the statistical analysis for fish S.aurite, T.medteraheus, S.scombrus, M.surmuletus, S.aurate and E.aletteratus. (P > 0.05) Either fish: E.maryinatus, P.erhrinus and M.mustelus (P > 0.05) As for the prices they were (5-8 S.aurite), (8-15 T.mediteraheus), (15-25, P.erythrinus), (38-50 E.maryinatus), (7-15 S.sombrus), (20-40 M.surmuletus), (18-22 S.aurute), (15-27 M.mustelus) and (E.aletteratus 12-22).
