This study aimed to identify the level of professional knowledge and academic qualification, the level of planning and organization, and the level of continuous professional development among handball coaches in Libya. It also sought to examine the relationship between professional knowledge and academic qualification and both planning and organization as well as continuous professional development. The researchers employed the descriptive survey method. The study population consisted of 58 coaches from the Libyan Premier Handball League. The sample size was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) formula, resulting in a target sample of 51 coaches. However, 37 valid questionnaires were returned and used for statistical analysis، a questionnaire was developed to measure the dimensions of professional knowledge and academic qualification, planning and organization, and continuous professional development. The instrument's validity and reliability were established using Spearman's correlation coefficient and Cronbach's alpha. Data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, relative importance, and Spearman's correlation coefficient، the findings revealed that Libyan handball coaches possess a high level of professional knowledge and academic qualification, as well as high levels of planning and organization and continuous professional development. The results also indicated that coaches are committed to attending training courses, keeping pace with scientific developments, and utilizing technology and data analysis to improve coaching practices. Furthermore, statistically significant positive correlations were found between professional knowledge and academic qualification and both planning and organization and continuous professional development. These findings highlight the importance of investing in coaches' professional knowledge and academic qualifications to enhance planning efficiency, strengthen continuous professional development, and improve the overall quality of handball coaching in Libya.
