Abstract

This research paper examines the role of artificial intelligence as a
technological revolution that has reshaped the architecture and construction sector, from a mere tool for facilitating routine tasks to a creative partner that expands design horizons. The research problem centers on the inability of intelligent systems to simulate human consciousness and aesthetic and ethical sensibility. Based on the philosophy of the "Dual Mind" adopted in this paper, the researcher argues that the solution lies in a third architecture born from the dialogue between the fast and precise intelligence of the machine and the slow, contemplative intelligence of the human who gives design its spirit and identity. The paper reviews the levels of artificial intelligence and its types and applications such as generative design, Building Information Modeling, virtual and augmented reality, energy analysis, and three-dimensional simulation. It also demonstrates its contributions to supporting design, understanding user needs, documentation, and maintenance. Despite its advantages in accelerating work, reducing errors, and enhancing sustainability, it has disadvantages such as the decline of manual skills, hacking risks, privacy violations, and high cost. The paper concludes that replacing the architect is out of the question, as automation is limited to routine tasks only, while creativity, ethical judgment, and human value remain exclusive to the designer.
