This study aims to explore the relationship between the form of shapes and inspiration processes in fine art, taking the "horse figure" as an applied model. The research addresses the importance of form as a visual stimulus and a source of artistic inspiration, and how it is employed to express various symbolic and emotional meanings and connotations across artistic eras, from ancient civilizations to modern art. The study focuses specifically on Libyan fine art, tracing the presence of the horse figure in the Libyan collective consciousness and folklore, and how it is inspired by Libyan visual artists in their works, whether to express epics of struggle, daily life, or formal aesthetics. The study concluded that the employment of the horse figure in Libyan fine art often tends towards the documentary realistic style, noting a shortcoming in inspiring contemporary artistic forms or styles such as abstraction or surrealism, which reflects a confusion among some artists between free creative inspiration and the direct employment of form according to the requirements of the situation.
