Difficulties Faced by Students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Al-Zawiya in Performing Some Basic Skills on the

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of difficulties encountered by students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Al-Zawiya in performing some basic skills on the rings apparatus. The researcher adopted the descriptive survey method. The study sample consisted of 54 fourth-year students. A questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument after verifying its validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using several statistical techniques, including the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and relative importance.

The findings revealed that skill-related difficulties were the most significant challenges faced by the participants, highlighting the importance of the cognitive aspect in acquiring rings apparatus skills compared with the other dimensions. Psychological difficulties ranked second, indicating that factors such as anxiety and fear of failure have a noticeable impact on students' performance and are relatively close in influence to the other dimensions. Difficulties related to facilities and equipment ranked third, reflecting the considerable influence of the training environment and available resources on students' performance. Difficulties associated with teaching and assessment methods ranked fourth, suggesting that these factors have a moderate effect. Finally, physical difficulties ranked fifth and last, indicating that they have the least relative impact compared with the other dimensions. Overall, the study concluded that all dimensions were rated as having a moderate level of impact.
