Similarities and differences of the acquisition of first and second languages

Many ideas have been proposed by academics in an effort to comprehend and explain first language (L1) and second language (L2) acquisition. These theories can help teachers better understand language acquisition and support their students as they acquire a language. First, the similarities between L1 and L2 acquisition will be examined in this research. The differences will then be described. The significance of these findings for foreign language instructors will be covered in the paper's final section.
