The Impact of Blue Finance on Sustainable Development An Analytical Study of Al Wahda Bank, Western Region Branches

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of blue finance on achieving sustainable development through a field study of employees at Al Wahda Bank, Western Region branches. The study focused on four main dimensions of blue finance: the economic dimension, the environmental dimension, the social dimension, and the financial and investment dimension, and measured their impact on supporting sustainable development. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, and a questionnaire was used as the primary data collection tool.

The study population consisted of employees at Al Wahda Bank, Western Region branches. 154 questionnaires were distributed, 152 were returned, and a number of invalid questionnaires were excluded, leaving 150 valid questionnaires for analysis. A range of statistical methods were employed using SPSS software, including arithmetic means, standard deviations, Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and linear regression analysis.

The results showed high levels of the dimensions of blue finance and sustainable development. Furthermore, the regression analysis demonstrated a statistically significant positive impact of blue finance, across its various dimensions, on sustainable development, although the degree of impact varied among the dimensions.
