Abstract

: Contemporary societies face numerous challenges due to demographic shifts and changes in modern lifestyles. These changes have led to altered living patterns, decreased physical activity, increased psychological stress, and the emergence of unhealthy dietary habits. This has contributed to the increased prevalence of chronic diseases. This research aims to understand the social and health impacts of these diseases and their social and health repercussions on the lives of individuals, families, and society. The research adopts a sociological perspective in studying chronic diseases as a phenomenon influenced by the social and cultural environment. It has reached several conclusions, including that emerging chronic diseases lead to decreased physical capacity and deterioration of vital organ health, as well as a decline in the quality of daily life and independence. To prevent and combat emerging chronic diseases, medical follow-up, lifestyle modification, and the provision of social and psychological support are essential to reduce the complications of chronic diseases. Public health policies also play a crucial role in prevention, reducing the spread of chronic diseases, and alleviating the economic and social burden.
