Abstract

This study aimed to identify the attitudes of physical education students at Sabratha University toward using the interactive video application (Edpuzzle) in learning basketball skills. The study focused on three main dimensions: ease of using the application, basketball skill understanding, and motivation toward learning. A descriptive research method was employed as it was appropriate to the nature and objectives of the study. The researchers used a questionnaire to measure students’ attitudes toward using Edpuzzle in learning basketball skills. The study was conducted on a sample of 20 physical education students at Sabratha University. The results revealed a high positive attitude among the students toward using interactive video in learning basketball skills. The overall mean score of the questionnaire was 3.72 out of 5, representing 74.4%. The motivation toward learning dimension ranked first, with a mean score of 3.95 and a percentage of 79.0%, followed by the basketball skill understanding dimension, with a mean score of 3.74 and a percentage of 74.6%. The ease of using Edpuzzle dimension ranked third, with a mean score of 3.47 and a percentage of 69.4%. The highest-rated statement in the questionnaire was related to students’ increased desire to participate in learning when using interactive video, with a mean score of 4.30 and a percentage of 86.0%. In contrast, the lowest-rated statement concerned students’ ability to deal easily with the interactive video content, with a mean score of 2.95 and a percentage of 59.0%. The study concluded that physical education students demonstrated a positive attitude toward using Edpuzzle in learning basketball skills. The perceived educational value of the application, particularly in enhancing students’ motivation and understanding of basketball skills, was higher than their perceived ease of use. The study recommended continuing to employ interactive video as a supportive educational tool alongside theoretical explanation and practical application, while providing students with introductory training on how to use the application and designing clear and appropriate interactive content for learning sports skills.
