"Developing Leadership Skills and Its Impact on Enhancing the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Employee Performance at the Diabetes Hospital in the Salah al-Din Area, Tripoli"

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effect of developing administrative leadership styles on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of employee performance at the Diabetes Hospital in the Salah Al-Din area of Tripoli. It sought to determine the level at which administrative leadership styles are practiced and to assess their contribution to improving employee performance. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and used a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 32 administrative employees at the hospital. The findings revealed a statistically significant effect of administrative leadership styles on the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational performance, with all leadership styles demonstrating positive and statistically significant effects. The collaborative leadership style ranked first in terms of its strength of influence on performance, followed by the participative style, the transactional style, and finally the authoritarian style. The study recommended strengthening collaborative and participative leadership styles and developing specialized training programs to enhance leadership skills, with particular emphasis on decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and team management skills, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of performance within the healthcare institution.
